Adam De Groot

Adam is originally from Winnipeg and completed an Aviation Maintenance Technician program at Northland Community Technical College. He then joined Standard Aero in the Transport, Lift and Marine division, as a Detail Inspector working on gas turbine engines. He was also the Back-up Cell Leader when his manager was absent. After this, he was promoted to the Continuous Improvement Coordinator role.
Promoted to his current role as Manager Supply Chain in 2017. Here he has both purchasing and vendor management, which were split prior to his arrival. The department was broken when he took over and they were not working together as a team, therefore Adam implemented a more collaborative and team-based culture. Still, with responsibility for the team and P&L in his previous role, he now has an additional 40 reports in the global supply chain. Adam has recently upgraded their ISO certification to ISO 9001:2018 from 2015.
