New STC; FAA approved installation of the Eagle Generation II Digital Audio System in Cessna 208B’s
Pro Star Aviation, with support from our in-house Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) delegation, is proud to announce we received approval for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) number SA00380BO - Installation of a Geneva Digital Audio System (for Cessna 208B’s) on April 13, 2017. The STC is applicable to Textron Aviation 208B models serial numbers 208B1190 thru 1216 and 208B2000 equipped with a Garmin G1000 Integrated Flight Deck, and supports the installation of Eagle Audio’s (formerly Geneva Aviation) Generation II Digital Audio System, providing for multiple, highly customizable, tactical radio inputs typical for use in law enforcement and special missions operations.
The Eagle Generation II Digital Audio System is the smallest, lightest and most capable digital audio system available today. As an option for G1000 on the Cessna 208B, this design provides unparalleled flexibility in integrating multiple audio sources, including transceivers, aural warnings, and intercoms for access at up to ten (10) audio control panels.
To achieve certification for this STC, the modification design and supporting data was developed by Pro Star's aerospace engineer and certification departments. The coordination between all departments, along with the stellar work accomplished by Pro Star’s installation team during the prototype installation, made STC certification possible for our in-house FAA ODA.
Pro Star is proud of ongoing efforts and achievements of their engineering and certification staff who continue to develop some of the most unique, useful and well thought out STC’s for a variety of business and corporate aircraft.
