Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)

Temporary/Full-time position. Calgary, AB

Job Description

Report directly to the Maintenance Manager, this position will work as a team player with many different departments to provide complete Fleet Management, which includes Maintenance; Repair and Overhaul, Airframe Upgrades and full refurbish and Customization. AME Licensed Mechanic with experience and endorsements in Bell Mediums (B205 / 212 / 412) required for this position.

Requirements

  • Carryout all scheduled; non-scheduled and airworthy maintenance required

  • Carryout the maintenance on Lease and 3rd Party aircraft consistent with standards of airworthiness and the quality requirements of Eagle Copters

  • Utilize, Understand and follow the instructions of the applicable approved manual to carry out assigned tasks

  • Ensure the condition and safety of all tools and equipment

  • Maintain required levels of productivity when carrying out repair and overhaul duties

  • Help foster a positive attitude with technicians and ACA’s assigned to their projects by providing a clear understanding of the goals, values and policies of the company

  • Cooperate with the QA / QC Inspector as required on work order reviews or audits

  • Able to communicate effectively

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must hold a valid Transport Canada AME license (preferably licensed 5 years or more)

  • Bell 205 / 212 / 412 Endorsement and experience required

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Must be able to acquire a Restricted Airside Identification Card (RAIC)

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as a proven team player

Aircraft Certification Engineer/Tech

Temporary/Full-time position. Calgary, AB

Overview

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Aircraft Certification Engineer/Tech will be responsible for ensuring all systems meet company Engineering Procedures and design requirements. Assist in designing, analysis, testing, certification and project management.  

Responsibilities

  • Work with Customers, Installers and Product Support Team to support the installation and certification of aeronautical products

  • Manage engineering projects utilizing both internal and external resources ensuring successful project completion.

  • Create and review certification data packages: drawings, installation manuals, Instruction for Continuing Airworthiness, test plans, test reports, qualification reports, etc.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent in a related field

  • Eligible for certification under APEGA or ASET (i.e. P.Eng, P.I.Eng, or P.Tech)

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, aviation/aerospace

  • Experience with aircraft certification and familiarity with TCCA CARs 521, 527, 529; FAA Part 21, 27 & 29 and EASA CS 27 & 29

  • Ability to create documents/data using MS Office Suite, and AutoCAD are required.

  • Experience with SolidWorks is an asset

  • Electrical/ Electronic/ Avionics experience is an asset

 

Other:

  • Maintain the necessary knowledge and technical competency required to carry out assigned tasks

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory/professional standards and company policies

  • Make recommendations on policies and procedures to support continuous improvement

  • Other duties as assigned

Avionics Technician - AME "E"

Temporary/Full-time position. Calgary, AB

Responsibilities

  • Report to various Project Managers, and directly to the Avionics Manager on issues affecting the serviceability of aircraft

  • Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with company and Transport Canada Regulations and quality standards

  • Accurate completion of all paperwork in accordance with published procedures, manuals and documentation.

  • Maintain the work area in a neat and tidy condition

  • Attend training courses as directed by the company

  • Performing installations of avionics equipment and systems on aircraft

  • Troubleshooting and repairing aircraft discrepancies in compliance with manufacturer's standards to expedite return to flight status

  • Program and configure various products

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • The successful candidate will be a graduate of an approved Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Avionics course and/or hold a valid AME license Category E

  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Transport Canada Airport Pass (RAIC)

  • Eligibility for Controlled Goods Program (security) considered an asset

  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate strong organizational skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work safely with basic hand tools

  • Understand technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to take direction and follow instructions.
