Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this position will be responsible to perform all functions associated with material handling, which include but not limited to shipping/receiving of parts, issuing and delivering of parts and supplies, slotting of items and inventory control as they pertain to the company policies and procedures
Receipt of parts for stock and projects
Ensure parts are located in proper bins/locations
Organize storage of parts and supplies
Issue purchase requests for consumables as required
Issuing of inventory
Pick part orders from inventory as requested
Deliver parts to the specified area as per work order parts request
Communicate effectively with lead hands to ensure proper flow of parts
Prepare and ship parts to both internal and external customers
Maintain proper shelf life of consumables by following the principles of FIFO
Actively participate in annual inventory audits
Actively participate in monthly/weekly cycle counts
Process parts returns from work orders
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Experience in a shipping, logistics or other related fields is preferred
Ability to manage workload under changing deadlines and priorities
Ability to handle physical workload (lifting 50lbs regularly)
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Valid first aid and CPR certificate considered an asset
Must be authorized to legally work in Canada
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of working areas
Make recommendations on policies and procedures to support continuous improvement
