HR Generalist

Job Description:

Reporting to the CFO, we are looking for an HR Generalist who is looking to apply their academic skill set in the real world.

 

Responsibilities:

•    Provide HR support at all stages of the employee life cycle from recruitment, hire, and onboarding activities, including performing employee orientation, and facilitating new employee training.
•    Respond to employee HR-related inquiries with appropriate information in a professional and confidential manner.
•    Ensure the timely, accurate and effective delivery of Payroll (ADP) and Benefits (manage programs including life, health, and dental insurance, vacation and leaves of absence including STD and LTD, WCB).
•    Develop, lead company policies, procedures, and documentation.
•    Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
•    Prepare reports to support company-wide policies and initiatives i.e., vacation accruals, employee performance, reviews, attendance management.
•    Create and update HR-related forms for increased efficiency and workflow.
•    Support compensation planning and research.
•    Provide counseling to employees and managers on policies and procedures.
•    Conduct investigations to complete injury reports with WCB.
•    Follow up and assist managers and employees on HR matters.
•    Be involved in the H&S committee.
•    Participate and coordinate organizational development and activities related to business needs
•    Provide support with HR projects and assist other team members as needed in preparation for growth and development.

 

Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

•    Degree or diploma or certificate in human resources management, or a related field required.
•    Minimum of (2-5) years of progressive HR management work experience in a human resources specialist or generalist position.
•    Demonstrated ability to meet strategic objectives for HR and the organization.
•    CPHR candidate or CPHR designated preferred.

Structures Engineer/Technologist

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Structures Engineer/Technologist will be responsible for ensuring all structural designs meet company Engineering Procedures and design requirements. Assist in design, analysis, testing, certification, and project management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Customers, Installers and Product Support Team to support the installation and certification of aeronautical products.

  • Manage engineering projects utilizing both internal and external resources ensuring successful project completion.

  • Create and review certification data packages: drawings, installation manuals, Instruction for Continuing Airworthiness, test plans, test reports, qualification reports, etc.

 

Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent in related field

  • Eligible for certification under APEGA or ASET (i.e. P.Eng, P.L.Eng, or P.Tech)

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, aviation/aerospace

  • Experience with aircraft certification and familiarity with TCCA CARs 521, 527, 529; FAA Part 21, 27 & 29 and EASA CS 27 & 29

  • Ability to create documents/data using MS Office Suite and AutoCAD is required.

  • Experience with AutoCAD Inventor and/or AutoCAD Vault is an asset.

  • Aviation structural design and substantiation experience is an asset.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Eagle Copters Maintenance Ltd. (ECML) is a Calgary-based company offering complete helicopter fleet management support to operators since 1975. We offer purchasing, selling, leasing, maintenance and overhaul of helicopters in the global marketplace.

 

We are looking for 14 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team immediately. Our main office and work location for this position will be 823 McTavish Road NE, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 7G9. These are permanent, full-time positions of 40 hours/week with the potential for overtime and an initial salary of $75,000 - $80,000/annum. Once individuals obtain a valid Transport Canada AME license, salary offered will increase to $90,000 - $100,000/annum. Additionally, individuals may qualify for a discretionary yearly salary increase based on performance and abilities.

We offer extended health care benefits (see below for list) as well as vacation of 10 to 20 days based on experience and status of qualifications.

 

In this position the AME will report to the Maintenance Manager and be responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of our helicopter fleet.

 

Specifically, the main responsibilities for this position include:

 

  • Performing repairs and overhauls on leased and third-party aircraft in compliance with the standards of airworthiness and the quality requirements of Eagle Copters;

  • Performing both routine scheduled, and emergency maintenance as required on all aircraft;

  • Troubleshooting, testing and identifying all problems in the aircraft, and subsequently repairing identified issues;

  • Documenting issues along with steps taken for resolution and outcome;

  • Collaborating with the QA Manager regarding aircraft work order reviews or internal company audit(s) as required;

  • Ensuring all work tools and equipment are in good condition and can be operated safely, and requesting replacement or repair as needed;

  • Requesting the purchase of necessary spare parts and supplies as needed;

  • Conducting airworthiness inspections and dual inspections, FOD inspections and aircraft final QC inspections sign-outs as required by Eagle Copters policies and procedures;

  • Ensuring EASA, JCAB, DGAC aircraft/component maintenance is performed in accordance with approved supplements, and correct maintenance release statements are used;

  • Applying the instructions of the applicable regulatory, OEM and company manual(s) to execute assigned maintenance and repair tasks, including replacing and installing mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, and flight control systems;

  • Ensuring the final maintenance release in the aircraft logbook has been accomplished in accordance with the regulatory body it is registered too, TC, EASA, JCAB, DGAC or FAA standards as applicable; and

  • Assisting in training other employees and contributing to maintaining the company’s positive work environment.

 

For this role, you must have the following qualifications:

 

  • Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) M license or qualify to obtain license;

  • Valid Transport Canada Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) pass or eligible to obtain;

  • Recent and extensive experience working in an AME capacity; and

  • Experience working on or have an approved aircraft type endorsement for, at minimum one of the following aircrafts: Bell 205, 212, 407, 412, S-76, A-Star, or AW139 aircrafts.

Aircraft Paint Prepper

Location:

Reporting to the Paint Shop Manager the Aircraft Paint prepper will be responsible for the paint preparation process for aircraft according to our polices and customer expectations.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Cleaning, de-corroding, sanding, washing and general prep work of aircraft/ parts prior to paint

  • Masking of aircraft and touch-up priming/painting of parts

  • Accurately read and follow productions schedule to ensure all components are ready to be painted on time

  • Cleaning and organizing of paint shop facilities

  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment using solvents, wire brushes and cloths

 

Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

 

  • 1-2 years experience preferred

  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Transport Canada Airport Pass (RAIC)

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work safely with basic hand tools

  • Ability to wear extensive PPE for long periods of time

  • Understand technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints

  • Ability to accurately read a scale and tape measure an asset

  • Able to carry out the physical requirements of the job including (but not limited to): bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, twisting, lifting, performing repetitive tasks, walking, and standing for long extended periods of time
